Partner Agencies

Research shows that funding birth to five programs is the best way to maximize taxpayers' investments in education. Despite difficult economic conditions during the year, and uncertainty in the lives of area families, Wake County SmartStart has worked diligently to support quality early child care services to families and children in our community.

Wake County SmartStart funds local non-profit organizations, also known as partner agencies, who provide services to children, birth to 5, and who work to ensure quality childcare is accessible and available to all who need it, children are safe and healthy and live in supportive environments, and children are ready for kindergarten.
